AMS takes 100% responsibility for the cost and performance of every medical device, manages all financial and operational risk and incurs all maintenance and repair costs – including costly replacement parts, if the hospital desires this coverage.
We also ensure that your hospital is in compliance with international standards. AMS uses methods developed by the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI), the American Hospital Association (AHA), the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and other internationally recognized organizations to determine which medical devices need to be included in the Medical Equipment Management Plan (MEMP). The MEMP outlines the procedures to be followed by the Biomedical Engineering Department (BME) to maximize operational efficiency in accordance with internationally recognized standards.
